Abstract :

GSM based Automatic meter reading is the technology of automatically collecting data from energy meter and transferring that data to a central database for billing and/or analyzing. The Transmitter circuit is connected to the meter which counts the pulses from it and displays it over the LCD display. The transmitter circuit containing a GSM modem for data transforming, which transforms the meter reading after each 10 pulses to a particular number through SMS.

An additional advanced service is also available, which includes the software operating on the computer. This software shows the updated reading. User has to put the unit rate and date of billing, and then this software automatically calculates the bill and also print it if printer is connected to computer.

Abstract

Home/ Bank/ Office security has been a major issue where crime is increasing and everybody wants to take proper measures to prevent intrusion. In addition there was a need to automate home so that user can take advantage of the technological advancement in such a way that a person getting off the office does not get melted with the hot climate.

 

Introduction

The project is aimed at developing the security of Home against Intruders , Gas Leak and Fire . In any of the above three cases any one met while you are out of your home than the device sends SMS to the emergency no provided to it and also display on LCD connected to it.

The report consists of a background into the area of 8051 microcontroller and mobile communication, how they are interfaced to each other and AT (Attention) commands set used in communication.

Abstract:

Our ultrasonic rangefinder is capable As stated earlier, we wanted to create something that would be of practical use to people of various walks of life. For instance, our rangefinder could be used in the case of a blackout where a person needs to find his way through a dark building and cannot see where the walls are. Alternatively, it could be used by surveyors that are preparing a site for construction.

One group from a previous year had done a project using an ultrasonic rangefinder, but their project involved a pre-manufactured system. Blood pressure monitor using Atmega32

Abstract:

Our final project is to design and build a portable blood pressure monitor device that can measure a user’s blood pressures and heart rate through an inflatable hand cuff. The device is consisted of three main parts: external hardwares (such as cuff, motor, valve, and lcd), analog circuit, and microcontroller. The anolog circuit converts the pressure value inside the cuff into readable and usable analog waveforms. The MCU samples the waveforms and performs A/D convertion so that further calculations can be made. In addition, the MCU also controls the operation of the devices such as the button and lcd display. An electric car is a plug-in battery powered automobile which is propelled by electric motor(s).  Although electric cars often give good acceleration and have generally acceptable top speed, the lower specific energy of production batteries available in 2010 compared with fossil fuels means that electric cars have relatively low range between charges, and recharging can take significant lengths of time. For shorter range commuter type journeys, rather than long journeys, electric cars are practical forms of transportation and can be inexpensively recharged overnight. Longer range journey options are currently being pursued by installing battery swapping station infrastructure throughout several pilot cities such as Tokyo.
